Notes | The original letter is GEO/ADD/28/144. Mrs Clayton's transcription is one half of GEO/ADD/28/028. Both documents bear the circled number '74', which shows the order in which the original letter was bound. Dated 'Monday 12 a clock'. A later pencil note on GEO/ADD/28/028 identifies the author as Margaret Purcell, seamstress in Queen Caroline's household. |
