Description | Wilmot states the circumstances of his employment which included assisting workmen including: John Brown a carpenter who fell into the lake, George Brochway a stonemason who received medicine and leeches, and Thomas Ridgeway a carpenter who fractured a finger. He also mentions that he had previously applied to Lord Harcourt, the Duke of Wellington and Colonel Stevenson for payment, all of whom replied that it was not their department. It is noted that the claim was to be rejected. |
