Description | Anderson was employed by the [4th] Duke of Athol as a falconer and presented hawks to George IV at his coronation. After the coronation at the King and Duke's request the petitioner cared for 'the hawks...at his own charge' in Scotland for three years, a service for which he was never reimbursed. During this time he also took the hawks to Edinburgh to see George IV during his visit to Scotland in 1822. |
