Description | This account was probably kept by Edward Le Grand, whose name appears on the left hand pages of the volume which record debits. Credits are recorded on the right hand pages, with running totals noted at the bottom of each page. [The account continues in volume GEO/MAIN/54505C.] Payments included: wages; stabling costs; travelling expenses; purchases of furniture (page 24 lists Mr. [Thomas] Chippendale), liveries, and Hampton Court Park (listed on page 152); donations; housekeeping; repairs; tradesmen's bills; and the settling of the chandler, brewer, wine and coal merchants' accounts.
