TitleMenu book for George IV (as King and as Prince Regent) and his Household, principally relating to Carlton House.
Date28 September 1818 - 16 November 1820
DescriptionMenu book for dinners, breakfasts and suppers for the Prince Regent and George IV, seldom for the whole family, principally at Carlton House and occasionally at Kew, Windsor, Stud House [Hampton Court], Cottage [Windsor Park].
It also includes a luncheon in Woolwich for the Archduke Maximilian Joseph of Austria-Este and a few dinners for officers, soldiers, police officers and Equerries.

In some cases, menus are attributed to particular chefs at Carlton House, including Amant (sometimes spelt Amand) Wilmet [Cook]; Peter Crepin [Master Cook of Kitchen].
Menu book contains lists of names of servants who were given mince pies for Christmas and New Year, and lists of provisions sent to Stud House [Hampton Court].

There are some chronological gaps (most notably: about 1 month between ff. 43r-43v; 58v-59v). Also, f. 170r, 22nd March 1820 is a mistake for 22nd April 1820.

Marked 'Ledger 1819 [1818-1820]'.
