Description | Lord Barrington apologises for mistakenly reporting that Lieutenant Colonel Garth was a younger Captain in the army, than Captain West, and queries whether he should be put forward to Lord Digby for promotion. George III replies that this error has not altered his determination to allow Captain West 'to purchase the Company in the first Regiment of Guards'.
