Description | George III's will giving his full title, ratifying his German will from 30/05/1765. Queen Charlotte is named as sole executor, specifying that jewels in her possession be passed to her, the Queen's House and its contents, (if she prefers it to Somerset House)and Richmond Lodge be given to her and on her death the Queen's House to Princes William, Henry and Edward and Richmond Lodge and both their contents to the Prince of Wales (the furniture being split between Princes William and Edward). The will gives the Prince of Wales power to buy the Queen's House and its contents from Queen Charlotte. The King gives Prince Edward jewels worn by him and to the Prince of Wales his books, papers and collections of drawings with some exceptions. George III expresses a wish to be placed in marble vault with his family in St Peter's Westminster and that Charlotte be buried there on her death |
