| Description | George III's letter to his sister in which he states that his best way of showing affection is to give her advice in her marriage. He comments on the character of the King of Denmark, who is 'careful of being governed' so Caroline cannot seem to influence him, even though he believes that in reality she should. He believes she should encourage him in his liking of England, but to be careful that her language is 'met with approbation'. He urges her to treat his grandmother, mother and sister with respect but to avoid everyone's confidence. The King refers to the King's government (Daneskild, Reventhaw and Bernstoff) and warns her of the Danish connections with France |
