Description | Byam sought payment of a promised donation of £500 to be paid by the Duke of Cumberland on behalf of George IV and relates the circumstances surrounding the agreement in relation to the extension of the parish church. He also states that the need is now greater and fears that without extension 'some dissenting place of worship will speedily show itself'.
