Page 1 commenced the Duke's personal account in the 13th Regiment of the Foot, and page 20 his clothing account for the same regiment.
Page 5 commenced the Duke's personal account for the 3rd Regiment of Foot Guards, and page 30 his clothing account for the same regiment.
Pages 10 and 29 commenced the Duke's personal account for the 1st Regiment of the Foot Guards, and pages 39 and 58 his clothing account for the same regiment.
Within the volume the Duke of Gloucester's debits are recorded on the left hand pages, and his credit account with Messers Cox & Drummond, later known as Messers Cox & Mair, recorded on the right hand pages; with running totals at the bottom of each page.
Payments include: soldiers disbursements; education of soldiers children; musical instruments; match boxes; food provisions; stamped paper; military uniforms; and a subscription to the Westminster Hospital.

In 1765 the company partnered with Henry Drummond to become Messers Cox & Drummond, and upon Drummond's death in 1772 Mr Mair became a partner and the company known as Messers Cox & Mair. In 1920 the company rebranded as Cox & King's.]
