DescriptionWilliam discusses the Catholic question; he is glad to know that, according to Lord Mayo's account, the Catholics' landed property is small - it will hardly carry, however, any Parliamentary influence. He thinks both Catholics and Protestants have put to much importance on the matter. William will soon leave for Holland; if he decides to accept an invitation from the Emperor of Russia [Alexander I], he might not be back until the fall.
