Description	This Sub-series predominantly comprises letters written by Princess Charlotte of Wales to Lord and Lady Burghersh, but also includes: a letter from Baron de Hardenbroek to Lord Burghersh; a note written by Lord Burghersh; and a letter from Lady Gardiner to Lady Burghersh.

Custodial History	These papers were gifted on 27 April 1954, and were accompanied by the documents: GEO/ADD/8/2-69, GEO/ADD/20/4-5. The depositor's grandmother was Lady Burghersh and these letters formed the basis of 'A Brief memoir of the Princess Charlotte of Wales' written by Lady Rose Weigall, by command of Queen Victoria, 1874. Within the accession correspondence the depositor states that they no longer had suitable accommodation for the records and felt that they should be placed within the Royal Archives.
Arrangement	These have been preserved and catalogued in their physical order, which is chronological; the original order is unknown.
