DescriptionWilliam is glad to know that Sophia is now well settled in Bushy House and that Halliday [Sir Andrew Halliday, William and Adelaide's doctor] has recovered. He thinks Lord Liverpool's [Robert Banks Jenkinson, 2nd Earl of Liverpool] marriage with Mrs Chester to be very prudent; the Duke of York might succeed Sir B. Bloomfield [Lieutenant General Benjamin Bloomfield, 1st Baron Bloomfield , Private Secretary to the Sovereign]. They will soon be on their way back - stopping, first, a few days in Heidelberg and Hamburg.
