Admin HistoryA highly successful Chancery lawyer and Member of Parliament first for Liverpool and later Midhurst, Sir Thomas Bootle (1685-1753) was a staunch Whig. Bootle served as Chancellor to Frederick, Prince of Wales between 1740-51, and, after Frederick's death, continued in this role serving George, Prince of Wales, future George III.
