DescriptionLord Suffolk refers to Dispatches received from [HMS] Flora, including a letter from Captain Collier and 'very secret and confidential' letters from Mr Gunning, which should only be shown to Lord Rochford and Lord North. He refers to a lack of cordiality between Lord Cathcart and Mr Gunning, but advises the King to ask Lord Cathcart to explain the transactions of his Embassy [St Petersburg] and his letters to Lord Rochford, in order to establish the truth of the matter.
