Custodial HistoryAt some point the company was taken over by a Mr Hunter (tailor by appointment to William IV and Victoria), and subsequently transferred into the possession of a Mr Wilkinson. These volumes were in the possession of Walter Wilkinson until January 1952 when they were donated to the Royal United Service Institution. The volumes were gifted to the Royal Archives by the Institution on 20 June 1968, when they transferred the majority of their manuscript collection to the National Army Museum.
