DescriptionAnnotated will concerning George III's estates, unsigned and apparently in draft form. An annotation in the will makes a short reference ro George III's book collections and his jewels [expanded in GEO/MAIN/17500]. George III leaves the property at Richmond and the house and palace at Kew and their respective contents and land to Queen Charlotte. Farms and freeholds in the parishes of Kew, Richmond, West Sheen and Surrey have also been left to her, as well as the house purchased from Mrs. Gordon and its contents which is to be left to Princess Mary after the Queen's death along with the house purchased from Mrs. Methold. The house and contents in Sheet Street, Windsor has also been left to the Queen Consort, and then to Princess Amelia on her death. Augusta Lodge has been left to Princess Augusta, and the property at Weymouth to Princess Sophia. The houses on Kew Green inhabited by the Dukes of Cambridge and Cumberland have been left to them respectively. The will is signed in the presence of the Earl of Cardigan, the Earl of Eldon and John Lord Redesdale. George III states his hopes that Queen Charlotte will support Princess Elizabeth.
