| Description | This account book records the amount paid and payee, 1812-1831. More specific indication of the nature of the purchase or debt is rarely given. From 1820, these payments appear to be primarily for 'Dutch Loan Obligations' purchased of Messrs Mevil and Co of Amsterdam. With list of obligations recording from whom and when purchased, and to whom paid; and memorandum (GEO/MAIN/43188) as to outstanding obligations, 1834.
