Custodial HistoryThis volume did not form part of the accession from Apsley House. It was sent to Edward VII in September 1905 by Princess Beatrice (1857-1944). The volume had been found amongst Queen Victoria's papers which Beatrice had inherited under the terms of Queen's will .
ArrangementIt is not known when these letters were arranged and bound, but it is thought to be pre-1913. The volume appears to have a rough chronological order, however correspondence has been grouped according to sender and within these groups the order is chronological. The letters have been listed individually within the descriptive field to reflect their current physical order within the volume. The original order of these papers is unknown.
