DescriptionPonsonby claimed that his account, totalling £117, for gilding and carving work undertaken at Brighton Pavillion under the direction of John Nash on 1 February 1821 remained unpaid. George IV's executors refused to accept his claim as they had a receipt from John Nash stating that the account for the work had been paid 'in full of all demands'.
