Custodial HistoryThese papers are believed to have been part of the original acquistion from Apsley House
ArrangementThis collection has been catalogued generally by box at series level, and the documents within each box have been catalogued by month as they are formulaic in nature

The dated correspondence ranges from January 1812 to December 1814, however there are a large number of documents for which the year of writing is not known. (Some have been dated in pencil although it is not clear by whom). As detailed cataloguing has not been undertaken, dates of these documents cannot be determined and therefore they form a series, at the end of the collection. It could be assumed that this particular series of correspondence ended with Princess Mary's marriage in July 1816.
