DescriptionThe Duke has received two letters from Dundas and Lord Elphinstone that are here enclosed - both are about the imminent by-election for a Scottish Representative Peer. Captain Fleming of the Navy, brother of Lord Elphinstone, told the Duke that Lord Blantyre [Robert Walter Stuart, 11th Lord Blantyre] had not promised his vote to Dundas [Thomas Dundas, 1st Baron Dundas] as he might run himself.
He gives information about the movements of the Duke of Cumberland, the Duke of York and the Duke of Kent, and their possible visits to Weymouth.
