TitlePetition of Charles Warburton Walsh
DateSeptember 1825
WriterWalsh, Charles Warburton
AddresseeWilliam IV, King
DescriptionWarburton gives details about the case of a lady who, claiming to be the legitimate daughter of the Duke of Cumberland [Prince Henry, Duke of Cumberland and Strathearn] approached him through Robert Kindillon [late Major in His Majesty's Army of Upper Norton Street Fitzroy Square, Middlesex] and gave him papers bearing the proof of that claim and which were signed by George III, Mr John Dunning [1st Baron Ashburton; for a period Solicitor General to the Crown], and Lord Warwick [Henry Richard Greville, 3rd Earl of Warwick, 3rd Earl Brooke]. Warburton believed and still believes the documents to be authentic.
Before dying the lady added a codicil to her will bequeathing Warburton £1,000; Warburton is therefore asking for that sum to be given to him.
