Thanks for enclosing a letter from Mr ?Canter; Dr Berdmore and his unanimous election; naval preparations for war with reference to Lord Hood; possible visits. Postscript: 'I have just got Your Saturday's & still think if ye [Spaniards] have sent a Squadron to ye W[est] Indies, it will be war' with reference to the Duke of Portland and further reference to Lord Hood.
