DescriptionThe king is writing in great haste as he wishes to have Knighton's opinion on the papers just received and enclosed [missing] as soon as possible. Asking Knighton to draft an answer that might be sent 'under the existing Circumstances' ideally before the king's 'Bed Hour Tonight'. The king will be then abl eto copy it and send it early tomorrow to the Duke of ?Wellington which is quite as soon as the Duke can reasonably expect a reply. Urging Knighton to give his full attention to the papers and their contents. Acknowledging that he feels 'greatly vex'd, mortified, & in some respects disappointed'.
