DescriptionThe King acknowledges the receipt of three letters from William. He dwells on the one in which William shows not to be very inclined to obedience. The King stresses the importance of that if William wants to be captain, and not only of nautical knowledge - which he seems to have acquired.
William has previoulsy expressed the wish to be like Frederick; the King, however, points out that Frederick follows the advice he is given. He confirms he will send William to the Continent once he is back from the sea.
