TitleLetter from George, Prince of Wales to Prince William
Date7 November 1783
WriterGeorge, Prince of Wales (1762-1830)
AddresseeWilliam, Prince (1765-1837)
DescriptionMockingly addressing William as the 'Prince or the Commander in Chief of all the Blackguards possible'.
Since William expresses the desire to have a horse and groom from England to be brought to Germany, George suggests him to think the matter through as it would be very expensive and troublesome to do so. George will send a Spaniel [horse] if he can, but he will try to ask for help to Frederick [Prince], Grenville [George], Budé [General, Jacob de] and Merrick [Captain William].
He thanks William for the 'siloutte' sent as a present.
