Description | The King accepts William's apologies for his bad behaviour and his promise to not displease his parents anymore in future. He, therefore, decides to allow him to take Lieutenant and to have the HMS Augusta - commanded by Edward] - which will soon arrive in Stade, bring him and Major General [Jacob] de Budé back to England, before going back to sea. The King reminds William that he is now expected to behave like a Prince, a Gentleman and an Officer. He gave Frederick [Prince, Duke of York and Albany] more detailed information about William's visit to the Duchess of Brunswick [Augusta of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel] and the journey to Stade to meet with Edward. |
