Description | The Duke writes that he has good reports of Prince Adolphus and Prince Augustus at Göttingen, and that the King has given Prince Edward the command of the regiment of Guards at Hanover, but still needs an increase in his allowance. The Duke himself intends to ask permission to return to England at the end of October; he has bought land in Yorkshire from Lord Galway and is thus all the more anxious to come home. |
