The Duchess writes that the Emperor of Austria has refused to intervene to have the French demands on the Duchy reduced, and the French have increased them instead; French troops are consuming all produce and their Generals have taken over the Duke's houses and the palace in Stuttgart; she begs her father to stand up for her and the Duke.
