Title
Memorandum by Charlotte, Princess Royal, Queen of Württemberg, for the Prince Regent, on her loss of income owing to poor exchange rates, enclosing a statement of the shortfall each year.

Writer
Württemberg, Charlotte, Princess Royal, Queen of (1766-1828)

George, Prince Regent (1762-1830)
Description
The Queen explains that she has lost more than a fifth of her annual allowance from Britain since 1805, through the falling rate of exchange caused by war on the Continent and the suspension of commercial activity between Britain and Germany. This is probably the note referred to in hers letter of 13 December 1813 to the Prince (GEO/MAIN/51741-2). Both memorandum (51745) and statement (51746) are signed by her, but written in another hand.
