DescriptionMenu book for dinners and luncheons for William IV and Queen Adelaide, principally at Windsor Castle and Brighton Pavilion. It includes a few dinners for Queen Victoria, all dating in October 1837. A list of the people attending dinner is often provided.

Menu book gives an account of the donation of a raised pie to the Officers of the Royal Dragoon Guards and a raised pie and pineapples for the Fusiliers Guards.
There are accounts of meat and fish consumed, game received and its provenance. For the fish, the names of the suppliers are given: Humphry, Griffin and Pelsham.
Volume provides details of dinners served to members of the King and Queen's Household.

Volume contains two unbound documents: a list of provisions (undated); and a note signed by the Board of Green Cloth on 3 June 1840, ordering Sir Thomas Marrable [Deputy Comptroller and Secretary to the Board of Green Cloth] to notify Francis Norton [Comptroller of the Kitchen] to interrupt orders to the butcher Mr Wells because the Lord Steward has granted a warrant to Mrs Hancock (note: document not related to this volume as the date suggests).
