Description | Lord North had not yet heard of the effect that Clifford and Company's bankruptcy had had in London but was concerned that it would cause a fresh stagnation of credit. He offered to put off his planned journey to Hill Park. Mr. Cooper would visit the City on the following day. He would report his findings to Lord Suffolk who would then lay his findings before the King. |
