He states that Mr Blair had written to [Charles James] Fox who had presented his message to the Prince of Wales, but Blair had not received an answer. He also informs Payne that Dr [Joseph] Priestly wishes to dedicate a new edition of his philosophical works to the Prince of Wales, and recommends that he allows this as it contributes to his reputation as a 'protector of learning & talents'.
