Morshead also refers to the 'extraordinary conduct of Captain Macbride' [?at the Plymouth election in 1790], including Macbride offending Mr Dormer and Mrs Austen. Morshead mentions a report that Lord Valletort would soon join the Government and leave his seat in Parliament, and Morshead's directions to name Sir Ralph Payne [?for the seat].
