He describes the lost 'art of making the foullard, or Persian steel', and states that he has ordered some of these weapons, along with a shield 'of considerable antiquity', to be sent to the Prince.

Encloses (GEO/MAIN/38812-38815) extract of the above letter; with (GEO/MAIN/38812) details of the Persian fowls and musical instruments of Asia sent by Pott to the Prince. Includes, (GEO/MAIN/38815), list of items enclosed for the Prince, including 'One Persian Javelin', and 'Seeds- Flower & Fruit'.
