Description
Moira requests that McMahon assist with a bond for George Rawdon's debt to his silversmith; and ask Brownrigg if Donahoe's leave can be extended [he is due to return to the West Indies]; and also to recommend Thomson, who had been made Assistant-Commissary instead of a Deputy, to Sir Ralph Abercrombie. He discusses the merits of Donahoe and Thomson; and adds a request for McMahon to send a copy of Pizarro to Moira's mother.
[There is a Daniel Donahoe recorded in March 1799 as part of the 87th Regiment of Foot].
