Description | The Duke of York discusses financial matters, and reports that he has been appointed Regimental Colonel of the 1st Battalion of Coldstream Guards. The King has also made him Warden of Windsor Forest and also the New Forest. He mentions the funeral of the Duke of Cumberland is to be the following Thursday, and discusses the health of George III who is much affected by the recent death of his brother William Henry, Duke of Gloucester. He is happy to report that the Duke of Kent has been given Hampton Court Park. |
