| Description | On not writing sooner; Amelia and her knee: 'Her Situation at Worthing by what You say can not be the one that ought to be chosen for Her to remain at...I am truly thankfull for Yr offer of the Pavillon & should were I to act for myself not hesitate to accept of Yr goodness at once but as others must be spoke to I must seize un beau moment to settle it'; 'As to what relates to My Friend Mr B [?Batten] I hope You will believe me Sincere when I tell You that I shall feel happy in serving Him, a letter from Him to me would ['would' crossed out] might perhaps incline the Kg to send it to Mr Pitt where after all it must go but I think it right to mention that I have a Confused Idea that at the Time Mr Grant was proving for or named a Welch Judge, the Kg hinted something about a Marriott & the Person who was to Suceed Him, the Name I forget for ['for' crossed out] & it was thought that whosoever was to undetake or to effect Marriots changing His Place would meet with Great difficulty'; her health and the weather; social life at Weymouth including Lord Charles Somerset; military Reviews; theatre; seeing the 'Sea Fencibles'; Lord Rivers and Sir William Pitt; his daugther Princess Charlotte.
