The Prince refers to his studies and Mr Majendie, who has expressed his satisfaction with the Prince's progress. Admiral Digby is also pleased and has ordered the Prince to keep a more regular watch.
At port, they dined at Sir Thomas Pye's and watched a procession of shipwrights in the dockyard on the occasion of the King's birthday. The Prince dined on HMS Victory as a guest of Admiral Geary.
HMS Prince George will soon be sailing near the French coast.
