Description
The Duke informs the Prince he is alive but unhappy. The fleet is half way up the Channel but not very close to landing. He is still unsure if there will be a war and he wishes he could quit the naval duties.
P.S. of the 6th of September: they are now off the Lizard. The Duke will ask for leave of absence as soon as he can.
