Dispatched the HMS Pigmy Schooner with a letter to the Emperor of Russia [Alexander I], and one for Viscount Castlereagh. He received a letter from Lord Melville [Henry Dundas] with a request to proceed to town - but he will not be able to do so until later in the week because of a series of previously arranged dinners with British and Russian Admirals and Captains; Captain [Charles] Rowley [Commander of HMS Eagle]; Captain Alexander [Commander of the HMS Colossus].
