The Duke reports to the Prince Regent a message from [John] Byde [Equerry to the Duke]: in the event of the creation of an establishment for Princess Charlotte, Byde would like to be considered for the role [of Master]. The Duke supports Byde's candidature as he believes him to be the perfect fit for that role and the most trustworthy person for having served [in the Royal Household] almost twenty years and without ever getting any reward.
