DescriptionPrince William informs his brother that the HMS Pegasus is ready to sail. He asks the Prince of Wales to pressure Lord Howe to send William's commission. Expressing doubts about the future, being not sure whether to keep the Pegasus for three years or not, and asking advice on that. Also considering that, if he has to have another ship [to command] after three years, he would like to command a Guard ship at Chatham, conveniently situated close to London.
