Description	Prince William thanks the King for making him Captain of the Pegasus. He reports to have asked Lord Howe for the regulations he used when he was commanding a ship, and on that model the Prince drew his own rules. The Prince gives information about life on the ship: the officers are of a certain age, well behaved and they keep the proper distance (which appears was a concern of the King's); his cabin is plain and he is keeping an account of expenses. Thanking again the King for the promotion to Captain, the Prince admits that he did not deserve it because of his improper behaviour when in Germany, but he also reassures the King about having rectified his conduct.
