Collection | Correspondence of William IV |
Description | Sir Herbert is returning the book and documents sent to him by Isaac [see GEO/MAIN/35969-35970]; although he is not authorized to say more than already communicated by Lieutenant.-Colonel Noleken, Isaac should feel free to show the correspondence to Lord Melbourne [William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne] or the Home Secretary [John Russell, 1st Earl Russell]. Sir Taylor entertained communications with Miss Cary and Miss [Susan] Woodward, but never considered that publication of the documents in their hands to be of any importance or even remotely damaging for the Royal Family. With this letter, Sir Herbert intends to close the correspondence concerning Lady Anne Hamilton, Miss [Susan] Woodward, Miss Cary, Mrs Edwardina [Flinn]. |
