Collection | Additional papers concerning George I, George II, and others |
Custodial History | Purchased 1959 along with letter from George, Prince of Wales to Lord Yarmouth, 1810 (GEO/ADD/3/33); warrant from George III to Army Paymasters, 1790, and an autograph of HM, 1810 (refs GEO/ADD/2/55-56); letter from the Duke of Clarence to an unknown recipient, n.d., and an envelope addressed by him to the Reverend Mr Car, 1810 (refs GEO/ADD/4/27-28); address label written by the Duke of Sussex addressed to the King of the French, n.d. (ref GEO/ADD/9/395); and letter from Rear-Admiral Parry to Charles Mott, 1835 (ref GEO/ADD/16/32). Although the accession entry records that some documents from GEO/ADD/6 and GEO/ADD/7 were also purchased (GEO/ADD/6/143-147 and GEO/ADD/7/42) there is some doubt about whether this is really this case. |
