TitleLetter from William, Duke of Clarence to J.W. Daniell
Date30 August 1821
WriterClarence and St Andrews, William, Duke of
AddresseeDaniell, J.W.; Steward to the Duke of Clarence
DescriptionWilliam discusses with Daniell some issues about the lighting in the house [Bushy, just refurbished], on which Law and Mrs Oak are working on, and a problem of dry rot in the library. He warns Daniell that he might soon receive a visit from Barton.
The letter is addressed to 'Dear Barton', but because this letter is part of a longer conversation on the refurbishment of Bushy House which William has entertained with Daniell, it seems reasonable to think that this letter was addressed to him. Moreover, towards the end of the letter, William mentions a visit from Barton.
