Description
George Sanders (1774-1846) of Vigo Lane, Sackville Street, London, was a fashionable Scottish painter. He was employed [between c.1811-1815] by Princess Charlotte of Wales who sat for a painting by the artist in October 1811. This Sub-series comprises three letters written by Princess Charlotte to Sanders.

Custodial History
Presented to the Holyrood Annuity Trust in 1936 and kept at the Palace of Holyrood after the charity was disbanded. Transferred to the Royal Archives in November 1994.
