Notes | The original letter is GEO/ADD/28/147. The English transcription is on one half of GEO/ADD/28/042, and is written on the reverse of RA GEO/ADD/28/041. Both documents bear the circled number '79', which shows the order in which the original letter was bound. Mrs Clayton has added a note to the transcription: 'This Letter [sic] is not translated but copyd [sic] from an original wrote by the Princess Royal to Mrs Clayton & soe [sic] is the next that follows'. 'the next that follows' may perhaps refer to GEO/ADD/28/041, which is on the other side of this sheet. |
